"I am excited to learn about the latest technology trends discussed by people who have implemented them. I am also excited about the networking opportunities, and the ability to connect with vendors whom I would never otherwise get to meet. There are so many wonderful sessions that it will be very difficult to decide which ones to attend!"

Congratulations to Holly on her receipt of the Gov/NFP/Law School scholarship.

Recipients Response:
"I recently transitioned from a law firm environment to the courts, and even though my everyday environment has changed, the need for leadership, innovation, creativity, and forward-thinking solutions remains constant. I am at my best when I can combine my past experiences with best practices and insight from my legal professional colleagues and industry leaders, to ensure that both my staff and the organization at large are solution-focused and future-ready. There is no better way to accomplish this than to attend ILTA>ON—taking advantage of top-notch programs, virtually connecting with other peer attendees, and collectively begin #CreatingtheFutureTogether."

I always found that I was able to learn something new at the sessions and bring back the new knowledge to share with my colleagues. I‘ve enjoyed ILTACONs so much that last year, I volunteered and served as a session planner! Although we won’t be able to attend an in-person conference this year, I’m sure that ILTA>ON with its virtual sessions, will also be another week of learning and networking with others in the ILTA community."

Scholarship Opportunities

In August, 2014, the legal community lost a great friend. Browning Marean, a partner at DLA Piper US LLP at the time of his death, touched the personal and professional lives of many within the legal sector and certainly within the ILTA community. He was a sounding board for topic ideas and speaker resources; he mentored ILTA members who were developing various programs; he elevated ILTA's brand in the attorney community and actively advocated for his peers and his firm to attend and participate in ILTA events. He epitomized the generous spirit of an ILTA member with his contributions in so many areas. In honor of Browning’s work in the litigation field and his extraordinary international ambassadorship, ILTA has established two scholarships, one for individuals who live and work in North America and one for those outside North America.

In January 2020, the legal technology community unexpectedly lost a wonderful colleague and dear friend, Cheryl Disch. Cheryl, an outstanding marketing professional at Duane Morris left an enduring legacy through her passion for educating and helping others, within the ILTA community and beyond. A mentor, leader, and friend, she elevated ILTA's brand in the marketing community and constantly advocated for the value of ILTA events, including her favorite ILTACON, which she co-chaired with distinction in 2016 & 2017. In her support of legal technology education and her fellow peers, Cheryl was the epitome of an ILTA volunteer, and brought her wry humor and pursuit of excellence to every role she served. In honor of Cheryl’s contributions to the marketing technology field and her exemplary international ambassadorship, ILTA has established the Cheryl Disch Women in Technology scholarship so that for many years to come, Cheryl’s combined loves of volunteerism, conference and mentoring will allow future ILTA leaders to carry on her vision for the legal technology community.

ILTA is now offering a scholarship for members currently working in government legal departments, judicial offices, non-profit organizations and law schools. The purpose of the Government, Non-Profit, and Law School Scholarship is to invest in Government/Non-Profit employees and/or Law School students who will participate actively in, and contribute to ILTA local events and conferences.

All corporate legal operations professionals and in-house counsel are encouraged to apply for this scholarship to attend ILTA>ON. The purpose of the Corporate Legal Department Scholarship is to invest in corporate legal department individuals who will participate actively in, and contribute to ILTA local events and conferences.

ILTA is committed to increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion in its membership and at ILTA>ON. This scholarship is intended to expand the perspectives shared at ILTA>ON and foster professional development among minority members of the association. This includes groups underrepresented within ILTA including, but not limited to: African-American/Black, Latinx, Asian, Pacific Islander, Native American, LGBTQ+, and People with disabilities.

To encourage the development of young professionals in legal technology, ILTA offers the Rising Star Scholarship. Individuals who are in the early stages of their career and demonstrate exceptional performance and leadership will be supported to attend ILTA>ON.

This scholarship is intended to support an individual from a small law firm (<50 lawyers) that would otherwise not be able to secure the professional development funding to attend.

To support and honor the brave individuals who serve, ILTA offers this scholarship for military veterans from any country currently working in the legal technology community to attend ILTA>ON.

The Networking Scholarship is for those currently looking for employment in the legal technology field that would like to attend ILTA>ON. This scholarship was established to support individuals who have recently been laid-off or furloughed from their role within a law firm, corporate legal department, government, law school or non-profit entity and who would like to continue their education and professional development by attending ILTA>ON.
